Crowds filling the street
TitleCrowds filling the street
Stores & shops
Signs (Notices)
DescriptionOutdoor view down a street lined by storefronts and filled with a crowd of men and women. The crowd fills the street as far as the eye can see. The stores have windows, awnings, patriotic banners and decorations, and signs. American flags and more banners are strung up overhead and over the street. One string is attached to a decorative streetlight. One sign on a store reads: "Clothing M.W. Kahn Shoes-Hats." Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902.
