DescriptionOutdoor portrait of a young boy and a young girl posed on a stepladder in front of small blossoming trees. The boy is sitting on the middle step with his hands folded in front of him and is holding some tree blossoms. There are blossoms in his shirt pocket too. The girl is sitting on the top step, behind the boy with her hands in her lap. She is also holding blossoms, and she is wearing a large hair bow. Taller trees, a sidewalk, and part of a porch are in the background. Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902.
