DescriptionOutdoor group portrait of children posed in front of a brick building with an American flag displayed on the wall. There are three rows. The first row is all girls seated in chairs, and their toes barely touch the ground. They all have their hands folded in their laps except one girl, second from the left, with her legs crossed and one hand holding her shirt. The middle row is a mix of boys and girls, and they are standing. A woman is standing on the left end of the middle row. The back row is standing on chairs, and they are all boys. The girls have dresses, and short hair cuts, and the boys are wearing dress clothes. A few boys have ties and suits or both. Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902.
