DescriptionThe slide reads: "Peoria Courthouse 2/3/78, 1978-75-6 Irene Wilson, Jeanette Ulrich." The photograph shows Irene Wilson and Jeanette Ulrich at the Lincoln Heritage Trail Ceremony at the Peoria County Courthouse in Peoria, Illinois on February 3, 1978. The building behind them is the courthouse. The statue is named "Harvest" and is part of a pair of statues that were moved from the tuberculosis sanitarium on Galena Road to the courthouse. They were later moved to make way for expansion of the courthouse and now stand in front of the Becker Building at the corner of Main and Jefferson Streets. The companion statue is a male holding a dove in his hand and is named "Peace."
