DescriptionThe Grand Opera House was located at 322 Hamilton St, between Adams and Jefferson. Stone birds are on the roof. The caption says it was built in 1882. Frank E Piper was manager, and the image shows what appears to be a temporary sign on the 4th floor advertising Field's Minstrel. It was next to the Journal (211 Hamilton). This image can be found in Ray Brian's Pictorial History of Peoria Amusements, Book One.
