DescriptionThe slide reads: 1980/38/47. The photogrph shows Adams Street in Peoria, Illinois as seen from the Citizens Building. The buildings shown include Johnsons Menswear and Grants (Corner of Adams and Fulton Streets). Next to Grants are the Book Emporium, Schradzki's and Brooks. The blue and tan building is Central Illinois Light Company's office (now Ameren Cilco). The large building beyond CILCO is the Commercial Bank Building (now National City Bank.) The white building to the right of the bank building was the Creve Coeur Club. The steeple in the distance at the right of the photograph was St Cecelia's Catholic Church (now St Martin De Porre's).
