DescriptionThe slide reads: "Old Settlers Centennial Parade 1980/38/8." The photograph shows a portion of the Old Settlers Centennial Parade on Adams Street approaching Main Street in Peoria, Illinois. The marching unit in the foreground is made up of girls dressed as Indian Maidens. A float is following behind the unit. Pedestrians are standing on the curb watching the parade. Many commercial buildings are along either side of the street. Their signs identify them as Carson Pirie Scot, Woolworths, Liberty Loans, K-Mart, Malings Shoes, Tyrells and Bergner's.
