DescriptionThe slide reads: "1981/24/3." The photograph shows the Palace Theater during its demolition in 1981. A wall has been torn away and a portion of the interior is visible. Several trucks and pieces of heavy equipment are visible in the foreground. The Lehmann Building is seen just behind the theater. The Lehmann Building was at the corner of Main and Jefferson Streets. After a fire in the building, it was torn down to make room for the Twin Towers.
