DescriptionThe slide reads: "Murray Baker Bridge." The photograph shows the bridge spanning the Illinois River. In the foreground are railroad tracks and a commercial building. There are several automobiles parked in the parking area along the riverfront. The bridge was named for Murray M Baker, a partner in the Baker-Stuber Dairy Company which is the predecessor to Prairie Farms Dairy. The bridge was named in recognition of Mr. Baker's philanthropy and contributions to Peoria. He was responsible for bringing Caterpillar to Peoria. His home is located at 1222 Moss, Peoria, IL.
