DescriptionThe slide reads: "Moss Ave front." The photograph shows the three story Pettengill-Morron House located at 1212 Moss, Peoria, IL. A row of trees and shrubs obscure the view of the first floor of the home, while the windows of the upper two floors are visible. There are mature trees on either side of the picture. The home has two chimneys. The home was built in 1868 for Moses Pettengill, a boot and shoe manufacturer. It was purchased by Jean Morron in 1953 and given to the Peoria Historical Society at her death in 1966.
