DescriptionThe slide reads: "Moss Ave rear." The photograph shows the rear of the Pettengill-Morron House at 1212 Moss Ave, Peoria, IL. The three story home has awnings on the windows of the lower two floors. The windows on the third floor are dormer style. There are two chimneys. The freshly mown lawn leads up to the stairs at the rear of the home and is outlined by trees. The back of the home features a row of shrubs on either side of the steps. There is a portion of a two story section of the home visible to the right of the main building. The home was built in 1868 for Moses Pettengill and replaced an earlier home which had burned.
