DescriptionThe slide reads: "Robert Burdette 1846; 1005 N Perry." The caption reads: "Robert J Burdette, nationally famous as a soldier, humorist, lecturer and preacher, lived in this home 1011 N Perry Avenue, Peoria, several years, immediately after his marriage in 1870. The building was built by Auren Garrett in 1846, and was presented by him to his daughter, Carrie, upon her marriage to Mr. Burdette." The house is one story with a front porch and many plants in the front yard. There appears to be a man in a chair on the front porch.
