Description"Frankenstein", the horror film that struck gold with the American public, made its debut in 1931 and is pictured here at teh Palace THeater in Peoria. The advertisements were painted by Dusty Rhodes. The film was directed by James Whale and starred Boris Karloff as the hideous monster, Frankenstein, with Colin Clive and Dwight Frye as the mastermind scientists behind his creation.
