DescriptionFrom left, Jake Lemm, Willard Waugh and William Moutier with "Little Star, " the hydroplane owned by Waugh Brothers Motor Co. of Peoria. In a 1925 competition in Canada, this vessel set a world record pace for speedboats in her class. The "Little Star" was one of three vessels on a U.S. team competing against a four-boat team from Canada. The Americans racked up 550 points and the Canadians just 200. (Duplicate B167-1119)
