DescriptionFoot of Main St. flooded in 1922. The street is flooded with people crowded onto the sidewalk at the water's edge on the right. An automobile is stuck out in the water. Smokestacks and a clock tower are in the background. On the left are two steamboats docked at the river with more people milling around on the waterfront. There are benches and lampposts at the water front. The back of the image says that the steamboat on the left is the East St. Louis.
