DescriptionImage shows an amusement ride that was the predecessor of the nickelodeon. It was composed of train cars that each seated 72 passengers with a seven to ten minute motion picture depicting scenes from around the world. It was filmed from the front of a train and played at the end of the car. Machines vibrated, rocked, and tilted the car to simulate the motion of the train, and painted scenery that rolled past with windows.
