Francis , Joliet , whose "Writing Sixty-ninth " brings responses from the fighting fronts and from the training fields . "You'd be surprised how much the letters help keep the boys happy and raring to go " writes a soldier from Fort Jackson , South Carolina , while a sailor in San Diego writes , "Mail time is as popular as chow time around here. "
