O'Donnell By Jessi Virtusio Managing Editor The Graham School of Management is gearing up for three sessions of their Breakfast with the CEO series this week, with three local business people scheduled to share their knowledge with SXU students in the 8 and 9 am. meetings. Thomas L. Bugielski, president of Worth Bank & Trust Company, is coming to the campus on April 15, while Hamid Mohammadi, president of a printing company in Burr Ridge, will be at SXU on April 16. Rounding out the roster is Joan Buschbach, principal of Buschbach Agency and president of the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce. She will speak on April 17. These breakfast meetings are by invitation only. Laura Earner, assistant to Graham School Dean Charles Shanabruch, explained, "We want to make sure (we) have a large enough sized group, but (we) also don't want to be overwhelmed with the amount of people. We try to keep it between 10 to 20 people." The meetings are also held exclusively for business classes so that the Spring Formal SAB Director of Finance B. G. Hunter, Director of Student Activities Kim Johnson, Father Ben Berinti, and student David Nance See CEO on Page 4 enjoy the festivities at the Spring Formal Dance which was held at the Knickerbocker Hotel downtown on March 29. Faculty's talents are featured in Art Gallery exhibit Park, an associate professor of art, also works as a commercial photographer. Wood sculptures by Jayne Hileman, chairperson of the Art Department, are also being shown in the exhibit. Hileman of the North Side of Chicago is also an associate professor. The opening reception for the SXU Faculty Art Exhibit will be tomorrow from 1 to 3 p.m. in the SXU Art Gallery. The show, entitled "The Work at Hand," began running on April 3 and will continue until April 24. Six members of the studio faculty of the Art Department submitted their work to the exhibit. At the reception, these faculty members will be presenting and informally talking about their different works. Monte Gerlach's infrared/ silverprint photographs are one of the types of works being displayed. Gerlach of LaGrange Phyllis Kozlowski of Burr Ridge, who also teaches at Moraine Valley Community College, is presenting various wa- tercolors complimented with ink and inspired by an art historical perspective. Kozlowski is also employed as an artist. Charcoal drawings done by Robert Mishlove, a teacher, are on display in the Art Gallery as well. Mishlove, who also works as an artist and a writer, hails from the North Side of Chicago. Cathie Ruggie Saunders, SXU Art Gallery director, is showing hand-set and printed broadsides, artists' books. Ruggie Sunders is also an associate professor. "Slotted Canyon" (infrared silver print) by Monte Gerlach Detailed oil paintings of real and made-up images by Brent Wall, an associate professor of art, are also being presented in the exhibit. The Art Gallery encourages students to gain an appreciation of the artists SXU has on staff by viewing the exhibit. Upon closure of "The Work at Hand" exhibit, an exhi bition of works created by graduating SXU students will be held in May. Admission to the SXU Art Gallery is free and open to everyone from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For further information on "The Work at Hand" or other SXU Gallery exhibits, contact the Art Department at 312-298- 3081.
