Desman had been 17-2 and was considered a tough
opponent. Ifolloway then lost to eventual third plscc

Rich Casey at 150, Jim Cook at 134 and Vlncc Testcme
at 142 all were defeated In their preliminary elimination matches.
Against Wyoming's Ted Adams, Cssey led 4-3 before
being reversed twice. The Junior from West Chicago
tied ihe maich but lost two points on riding time and
the match as well, 9-7.
Cook was beaten by Miami's (Ohio) Ron Plssmsn
2-1 In overtime. The two 134 pounders had been tied
5-5 sfter regulsilon lime. Plasman executed s rcver-

Oklahoma's Dill Desklcy, ihe eventual fifth place
finisher, stopped SlU's Test one 13-5 In iholr maich.
