MEET THIS DYNAMIC GROUP From their website: “Founded in October of 2005, the Chicago Nordic Choir has approx-imately 20 members that sing mostly three-harmony traditional Scandinavian songs. We are a fun group that consists of mostly young Swedes, however we have the pleasure to sing with singers from Norway, Denmark as well as Iceland! So do you have to be Scandinavian to sing in the choir? Not at all! We are also lucky to have a few talented Americans amongst us that tackle the chal-lenging task of singing in Swedish or Norwegian. We pride ourselves with both professional choir sing-ers as well as beginners. “The Chicago Nordic Choir per-forms at various events in the Chi-cagoland area and has performed for private parties, churches, retire-ment residences, and various or-ganizations and companies. We rehearse every Monday at Min-nekirken (2614 North Kedzie Bou-levard, Chicago, IL 60647) with our great director Melissa Grant! Please let us know if you would like to join us! Send an e-mail to: info@NordicChoir.com” Those who attended the 2006 Central Division convention had the pleasure of meeting these won-derful young women and hearing them sing in person. In just two short years, they have built quite a name for themselves. They performed 17 times in 2006 The Chicago Nordic Choir Joins the AUSS Above: The Chicago Nordic Choir on October 21, 2006 at the Andersonville housewarming party.
