The Trinity Yearbooks collection offers users access to the annual class publications of Trinity International University and its predecessors. Consisting of the Fireside, the Compass, and the Trinitarian, these works display the growth and development of the colleges created by the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) and its antecedents. This collection was made possible thanks to the generous donations of TIU faculty.

The Norwegian-Danish Free Church Association opened its own freestanding school, Trinity Seminary and Bible Institute, in 1910, but did not begin publishing its own yearbook, the Compass, until 1941. The Swedish Evangelical Free Church opened its own independent Free Church Academy in 1926 and began publishing its yearbook, the Fireside, in 1928. When the two schools were merged in 1949 into Trinity Bible College, students began publishing the Trinitarian the following year in 1950.

The yearbooks display the progress of Trinity from two small academies to a full-fledged university with a divinity school, law school, sites across the United States and partnerships with Christian colleges and universities around the world. This development is also seen from a distinctly student perspective: students put together these yearbooks, took photographs, wrote essays, songs, poems, and more—about their education, their classmates, and their own growth as adults.

This collection has been created from historical documents and may contain opinions, language, or images that the modern reader may find offensive. Rolfing Library presents these documents as part of the historical record and does not endorse the attitudes expressed therein.

All rights for these yearbooks are held by Trinity International University. As such, it assumes ownership of all material contained within.
