The Collection of Free Church Literature seeks to bring together works, both published and unpublished, that are considered significant to the literary history of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) and its predecessors. These works trace the literary output of the denomination from its early days through contemporary times.

Users who browse this digital collection are able to access rare, hard-to-find, or out-of-print publications recognized as significant to the development and heritage of the denomination. Works in this collection cover a variety of topics, from Free Church theology, history, education, missionary activities, testimonials, the organizational structure of the Free Church and more.

Items in this collection are primarily published by the official publishing house of the EFCA, the Free Church Press. However, the collection may include particular unpublished manuscripts or works in the public domain that contribute to the scholarship and understanding of the Free Church.

Most of the original works in this collection were digitized at the EFCA Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Evangelical Free Church of America is a multi-ethnic denomination with congregations across the United States with missionaries active on five continents. The EFCA in its present form was founded in 1950 with the merger of the Norwegian-Danish Free Evangelical Association and Swedish Evangelical Free Church, both of which had their informal beginnings in 1884.

The collection is hosted by Trinity International University (TIU). Founded in 1897, Trinity today comprises undergraduate, graduate, law, and divinity schools. TIU is operated by the EFCA.

The EFCA Archives and the staff at TIU's Rolfing Library will periodically add more items to this collection as time and resources allow. If you have a suggestion for a text that might qualify for digitization, please contact the staff at Rolfing Library at 847-317-4001 or email at libref@tiu.edu.
