The Oral History Collection provides first-hand accounts of the life and growth of the Evangelical Covenant Church and North Park University. These interviews cover a wide range of topics including personal recollections, family histories, faith journeys, and missionary activity around the globe. By bringing together various audio and video interviews, the collection provides a unique glimpse into the history of these institutions, told on a deeply personal and individual level.

The archives has endeavored to provide the interviews in the best quality possible and with helpful supplementary material. Some interviews have full-text transcripts, others have an index to allow a user to locate a particular segment, and some, due to limited time and resources, have been uploaded without a transcript or index.

The F.M. Johnson Archives presents these oral histories to the public as historical documents. The views, language, and opinions expressed in these oral histories represent the views of the interviewees and do not represent views or opinions held by the University or the Archives.

The archives staff will periodically digitize and add interviews to this collection as resources allow. Please be aware of potential copyright restrictions and privacy concerns when using these interviews for personal use. If you are interested in conducting an oral history project for the archives, please contact the staff at archives@northpark.edu or 1-773-244-6224.
